We now support video uploads

Ladies and gentlemen, I am thrilled to write this blog post to let you know that we now support video uploads. It’s been a long time coming, and believe it or not, quite a technical challenge. We wanted to ensure that there are no slowdowns when you upload videos, as there is quite a bit of compute involved with the process of converting raw MP4 videos to they are ‘consumable’ via most modern day browsers. Linked below, you can see one of the very first videos uploaded to our site.

Bitcoin Rookies

In other news, am pleased to announce our very first sponsor - Bitcoin Rookies.

The Bitcoin Rookies have one goal in mind - to help teach people about Bitcoin, it’s advantages, and why you should care about the biggest crypto currency on the planet. I encourage you to check out their Bitcoin 101 post.

More Hardware

With the introduction of the video feature mentioned about, we had no choice but to dust off our wallets and invest in some more dedicated hardware to run the site. We now have dedicated servers, CDN, and replicated storage powering AllThePics

Our continuing investment in the site, is for you, our users, so please share the site on all of your social platforms (Reddit, Twitter, etc). The more we grow, the more we can invest in the site!
